“It is in the most difficult times where we have to embrace our dreams the most, share them with others and together do our best to make them come true.”
2020 has been a very complex year for humanity, although seen from the first months of the year 2021, everything takes on certain relativity.
When we do the exercise of going back to what was done at the Forge Foundation in 2020, the word that appears to us is surprise. Despite having all worked remotely and in a very hostile context, the best of each person allowed us to exceed the objectives and accelerate a series of strategic projects that were part of the future plan. This is wonderful considering the results of the 2020. However, it is even greater if we consider it as an invaluable asset for the challenges ahead.
For all that, in this very special year, I want to thank very especially each member of the Forge community. To youths and teachers who, despite the very complex situations, trusted the proposal and sustained their dedication and commitment to go through the experience in the best way possible.
I also want to congratulate especially the wonderful team of professionals from all the countries where we are. Give them a special applause for their achievements but above all for the quality and human warmth with which together we found the best way to make it happen.
In the same way, I want to thank the allied and funder organizations that despite the difficulties they suffered, maintained and reinforced their commitments. We were able, from a bond of trust, to have the necessary flexibility to reinvent ourselves in the best way and thus achieve and surpass our goals.
At Forge we believe that the exit from this pandemic makes it necessary to multiply our efforts for the cause we are devoted to. We have experienced the 2020, in the most difficult context in the history of Forge, and we not only ended it exceeding our goals, but also having strengthened the team, the alliances and the methodology. The organization is prepared to face the great challenges that the consequence of the pandemic will leave us. We trust that as a team we will be able to promote a society in which youths will develop their potential and become protagonists in the construction of a more equitable and thriving world. Thank you very much for being part of it.
